Rex Ryan, Giants' Andre Williams trade barbs

The Snoopy Trophy is one of most coveted prizes in the history of sport.

Given annually to the winner of the Jets-Giantspreseason game, the trophy can make coaches do crazy things like inserting a starting quarterback into the fourth quarter of a preseason game behind third-string offensive linemen.

The trophy can also lead to heated trash talking before said preseason game by the two New York teams that play in New Jersey.

"I think the Giants are the real New York team," running back Andre Williams told the New York Post this week.

"Last time I saw (Williams) he was getting smoked by Clemson," Rex Ryanresponded after a laugh on Wednesday via the Newark Star-Ledger.

There will be families in all five boroughs that don't speak to each other at the dinner table this week. Until the Snoopy Trophy is awarded, New York will be a city divided.

The latest "Around the League Podcast" talks quarterback battles and debates the gang's preseason power rankings.
