Report: N.Y. Jets to interview Packers exec John Dorsey

Green Bay Packers director of football operations John Dorsey will interview with the New York Jets this weekend, CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported. The Jets are looking for a general manager after Mike Tannenbaum was fired Monday.

Former Cleveland Browns GM Tom Heckert, New York Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross, Atlanta Falcons director of player personnel Dave Caldwell and San Francisco 49ers director of player personnel Tom Gamble also are candidates.

The Kansas City Chiefs also are expected to talk to Dorsey, who has ties to the area. His wife, Patricia Sexton-Dorsey, is a lawyer with a K.C.-based firm, ESPNWisconsin.com's Jason Wilde reported.

Dorsey was promoted to director of football operations in May after 12 years serving as the Packers' college scouting director. He is one of the descendants from the Ron Wolf tree that includes Packers GM Ted Thompson, Oakland Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie and Seattle Seahawks GM John Schneider.
