Allen and Davis eventually had a falling out for reasons that remain unclear to this day.
"What do you think about a guy that has attempted to ruin your career?" Allen said in 1992, in an interview that aired on "Monday Night Football." "He told me he was going to get me. We've had conversations. I don't know for what reason, but he told me he was going to get me."
Allen remained with the Raiders through the 1992 season, then joined the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed a career resurgence. Davis and Allen never publicly reconciled before the owner's death last October, but Allen's decision to be part of the Raiders' ceremony is a sign the Hall of Fame running back has moved on.
