As SI.com's Peter King pointed out last week, head coach Chip Kelly's up-tempo offense requires fast, smart players with versatility. The scheme often incorporates four wide receivers, and Amendola shines in the slot in two-receiver sets.
Per Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, it's "unclear how hard" the Eagles plan to go after Amendola. Despite missing 20 games over the past two seasons, he reportedly is seeking a salary on par with Brian Hartline's $6.1 million per year.
