Along with knee and elbow injuries, the torn triceps has rendered Wayne a shell of his former self, averaging just three catches and 18 yards per over the past five games.
The normally sure-handed Wayne has been plagued by drops and an inability to make plays in traffic. As we have discussed on the Around The NFL Podcast, Wayne's injuries, Ahmad Bradshaw's absence and the refusal to bench Trent Richardson are the primary reasons behind a suddenly punchless offense that has topped 400 yards just once since Week 10.
Wayne said Wednesday that he is "living the dream" by playing football and will continue to do so as long as "it doesn't feel like a job."
The Colts might not find out if Wayne is in their 2015 plans until the NFL's active leader in career receiving yards goes under the knife.
