The Seahawks have one cornerback, Walter Thurmond III, who started serving a suspension this week. They have another cornerback, Brandon Browner, who is facing a suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Browner's appeal was heard Wednesday, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

Seattle promoted defensive back DeShawn Shead from the practice squad to take Cox's place on the roster.
