Percy Harvin 'extremely doubtful' for Vikings' game

Add another major problem to the Minnesota Vikings' passing game.

NFL.com and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Thursday, via a team source, that wide receiver Percy Harvin is "extremely doubtful" to face the Detroit Lions this weekend. The Vikings are struggling to throw the ball even with Harvin, and this could be a crippling blow.

Harvin was seen limping very badly through the Vikings' locker room Thursday by ESPN Twin Cities' Tom Pelissero. Harvin sprained his left ankle during last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Vikings didn't score an offensive touchdown when they first met the Lions in Week 4. Harvin returned a kickoff for a touchdown in that game, typical of his outstanding season. Harvin has 677 receiving yards on the season; no other Vikings player has topped 300 yards.
