Now that Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid has moved on to Alex Smith, the Jets are the obvious trade partner for new Eagles vice president of player personnel Tom Gamble. The New York Daily News reported Monday, however, that the Jets aren't interested in a trade for Foles "at this point."
The phrasing of the report begs the question of whether the Jets' interest would be invigorated if they collected extra draft picks in a possible trade involving star cornerback Darrelle Revis.

Coach Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik both have made it clear that Mark Sanchez will have to compete to keep his starting quarterback job in 2013. With former Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg now running the show for Ryan, there's no better candidate to compete with Sanchez.
Foles not only knows the offense, but he would give the Jets hope that he could be their long-term solution under center if he wins the job in training camp.
