With that in mind, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Monday that the Bears are expected to interview Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan for their vacant head coach position, according to a source informed of the process.
The Bears have additional interviews scheduled with Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, according to NFL.com's Albert Breer, and with Atlanta Falcons special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong, according to Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times.
Sullivan won two Super Bowl rings with the New York Giants as the quarterbacks coach before moving to Tampa Bay this season. Under Sullivan's tutelage, both Eli Manning and Josh Freeman made strides at their position. The Bears remain invested in Jay Cutler, but consistency on offense is a major issue for the franchise.
Sullivan represents a potential solution to a nagging problem.
