Long snapper Travis Tripucka meeting with Raiders

In what qualifies as the least surprising news in the history of the world ever, the Oakland Raiders appear to be taking steps to address their long-snapper position.

Former UMass long snapper Travis Tripucka tweeted Tuesday (via the Bay Area News Group) that he's headed to Oakland, presumably for a workout with the team. With the status of Jon Condo (concussion) uncertain and Travis Goethel, well, you know, the Raiders could need a fill-in snapper for Sunday's matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

Condo won't play this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins unless he is cleared by team doctors. He'll need to pass a series of tests for that to happen. Tripucka was waived by the St. Louis Rams on Aug. 27.
