Lions mum on Megatron's potential broken fingers

Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz won't talk about wide receiver Calvin Johnson's broken fingers.

The fourth-year coach wouldn't confirm that Megatron, who has been seen with his hand wrapped, had three broken fingers on one hand. He didn't deny it, either.

"I am not going to comment on any of our players' health," he said, via The Detroit News. "But that's not uncommon for a wide receiver."

Johnson played with several broken fingers during a season in which he broke the record for receiving yards.

Some blamed several of his drops on those fingers during the season, but if Megatron can put up nearly 2,000 yards with injuries, imagine what he'd do with fully functioning digits. He is expected to be ready for offseason training activities and training camp.
