Jets end 20-game interceptionless streak with Minkah Fitzpatrick's pick vs. Bears
In the grasp of Minkah Fitzpatrick, some dubious history came to an end for the New York Jets.
Fitzpatrick's interception of Chicago Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent during Sunday's 23-12 loss at Soldier Field ended the Jets’ 20-game streak without an INT.
The pick came with 11:52 left in the second quarter and set up New York at Chicago's 34-yard line. The Jets turned the interception into a Jason Sanders field goal to cut the Bears' lead to 7-3.
Fitzpatrick's INT was one of two New York takeaways on the day.
