Jacoby Jones fails Baltimore Ravens' conditioning test

"Dancing With the Stars" apparently is no substitute for an NFL offseason program.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones was placed on the non-football injury (NFI) list Monday after failing his conditioning test to open training camp, a Ravens source told NFL.com's Albert Breer.

Jones, who competed on the ABC reality dancing show this offseason, will get another chance to pass the test Tuesday. This news will be an easy target for jokes, but it represents a bit of real concern for the Ravens. Jones is being asked to step up to the Ravens' No. 2 receiver role, a job he didn't handle well as a member of the Houston Texans. The Ravens have no proven wide receivers behind Jones.

Showing up to camp out of shape is not a great early omen.
