Gary Kubiak calls Arian Foster a game-time decision

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster has no doubt he'll play Sunday. His coach isn't so sure.

Gary Kubiak said Foster is a game-time decision for Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins, according to Jon McClain of the Houston Chronicle. McClain said Kubiak "didn't sound real encouraging" in discussing Foster's situation.

Super Bowl or bust for Texans

Once perennial cellar-dwellers, the Houston  Texans feel pressure to win it all now. Why the urgency? Albert Breer explains. **More ...**

Foster suffered what the Texans labeled a "minor" knee injury during Thursday's practice. He was held out of practice on Friday.

A source told NFL.com and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that Foster has told friends his knee is "fine." Foster told reporters Friday he expected to play Sunday, and said he has pain in his "knee area," not the knee itself. According to McClain, Foster said the injury came from "working out extremely hard."

This is obviously a situation to monitor closely. Luckily for the Texans, Foster has one of the NFL's best backups in Ben Tate. The Dolphins were in trouble on Sunday ... and they still are.
