Eric Winston signs with Seattle Seahawks

NFLPA president Eric Winston finally found work.

The right tackle tweeted Tuesday that he will join the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. The team later announced the signing.

The 30-year-old tackle has started 119 games in eight seasons with the Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs and Arizona Cardinals.

Winston struggled in 2013 with the Cardinals. Pro Football Focus ranked the veteran No. 69 out of 76 offensive tackles in its rating system. However, Winston has always been healthy -- starting 16 games in seven straight seasons.

The Seahawks had health concerns along its offensive line last season and it remains the weakest group on the team.

Michael Bowie and Justin Britt were scheduled to battle for the right tackle job, but Bowie has been dealing with a shoulder injury. Winston will likely enter that battle and provide a veteran presence on the line.

The latest Around The League Podcast visits with former Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum and discusses the best of the early training-camp surprises.
