DeAndre Levy won't be testing the open market.
The Detroit Lions have agreed to terms on a three-year contract with their starting outside linebacker, NFL.com's Albert Breer reported Wednesday. Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official website first reported the news.

Levy has started 49 of 57 games since the Lions drafted him in the third round in 2009. He's an underwhelming defender on the surface, but the same can be said of fellow outside linebacker Justin Durant, who's set to become an unrestricted free agent. Durant is a reliable run-stopper, but he's often caught out of place in coverage.
Neither player has blown the doors off in Detroit, and the decision to re-sign Levy leaves Durant's status up in the air. The Lions would like to keep both players, according to Twentyman, and Durant wants back in.
"I definitely want to come back to the Lions, and I hope we'll be able to get something going," Durant said. "My agent (Adisa Bakari) said he's talked to them a little bit and it sounded pretty good. Hopefully we'll get something done."
