The Reliant Stadium press box announced that the wide receiver was sent to the locker room for evaluation for a potential head injury in the second quarter and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Translation: Hopkins was being tested for a possible concussion.
"He didn't run the route, didn't get his depth, was just stumbling all over the place," Kubiak said, via The Associated Press. "So we got him out."
Hopkins caught two passes for 22 yards before the injury. The hit seemingly occurred on a catch over the middle.
