Darren McFadden disappears in Oakland Raiders' O

Where in the world is Darren McFadden?

Run DMC is MIA.

The Oakland Raiders running back has been ineffective through the first two weeks of the NFL season. He has 54 rushing yards in two games, including 22 on 11 carries during a 35-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins. And we're not talking about an overpowering Dolphins team.

The Raiders switched to a zone-blocking scheme under offensive coordinator Greg Knapp. Some question if McFadden fits?

"I'm very comfortable in this scheme," McFadden told CSNBayArea.com. "I just feel like we have to get going. Like I say, you hit one or two runs here, three-yard runs here, and eventually it's going to start popping."

The Raiders hope so. McFadden averaged 5.4 and 5.2 yards per carry the last two seasons. That number is 2.1 in 2012. **
