Caleb Hanie reportedly expected to sign with Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are set to deepen their depth chart behind Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco.

ESPNChicago.com reported Monday that former Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Hanie is expected to sign with the Ravens.

Hanie spent last season as the third-string quarterback for the Denver Broncos, inactive most weeks behind Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler. The three-year veteran saw his most extensive action in 2011, when he replaced an injured Jay Cutler and struggled badly in four starts, all losses.

The Ravens obviously must see something in Hanie, who will provide Tyrod Taylor with some competition as Baltimore's primary backup.
