Buffalo Bills' Rex Ryan set for parachute jump

When he was coaching the Jets, Rex Ryan made headlines for a tattoo of his wife in a Mark Sanchez jersey. In what can be explained as just another example of "Rex being Rex," he's now set to jump out of a plane.

As his team prepares to open training camp on July 30, Ryan will suit up for a tandem parachute jump Friday morning in Niagara Falls, reports Jerry Zremski of the Buffalo News. This won't be your adventurous roommate's type of sky dive, either. Rex will jump with the U.S. Army "Golden Knights" Parachute Team, and the leap will be an early part of the unit's performance in the 2015 Thunder of Niagara Airshow.

In typical Rex style, there will be not one but two press conferences Friday morning: a general availability before the jump and another interview session after.

As our own Kevin Patra wrote last month when the Bills broke their season ticket sales record, "RexMania has overtaken Western New York." Indeed, if only for a second, Rex on Friday will soar over his domain.
