Brandon Marshall, other Bears weapons shut down

Jay Cutler had one of the worst nights of his NFL career. Life wasn't much better for Brandon Marshall. Tramon Williams blanketed Marshall all night with safety coverage over the top. When Marshall finally got open deep, he dropped a would-be touchdown.

The Packerswon with defense by dominating Chicago's best offensive players. Here's what else we learned in Green Bay's 23-10 win:

» The biggest downer of the night for the Bears could prove to be Matt Forte's ankle injury. Without him in the game, the Bears couldn't take advantage of Green Bay's two-deep safety approach.

» Bears left tackle J'Marcus Webb still can't handle premier speed rushers. This is no surprise. Clay Matthews has been an absolute terror early this season with six sacks.

» It's a great sign for the Packers on a night when the passing game wasn't clicking. James Jones dropped a pass and caused an interception by changing his route. Jordy Nelson and Jermichael Finley had drops. Finley also lost a fumble, setting up Chicago's touchdown.

» Green Bay adjusted its running approach for Cedric Benson and it paid off. He carried the load with 136 yards from scrimmage. Backup Alex Green is an afterthought.

» The Bears defense played well overall. They held up in short yardage many times. Julius Peppers looked great with two sacks. Tim Jennings continues to play well at cornerback. Brian Urlacher and Charles Tillman both made plays despite injury. It's not their fault the Packers scored on a fake field goal.
