Mingo is expected to be released from the hospital by noon ET Friday,'s Ian Rapoport reported Friday, per a source informed of the injury. Mingo might miss around one week with the injury, according to Rapoport.

Mingo, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, initially was listed as questionable to return with a bruised rib. Browns coach Rob Chudzinski provided an update on Mingo's condition after the game.

Mingo, who suffered the injury during a kickoff, was one of several Browns players to be hurt Thursday. Running back Dion Lewis -- who had been enjoying a strong training camp -- suffered a broken fibula. His recovery timetable is unknown.

Also injured were guard Jason Pinkston (ankle), tight end Gary Barnidge (shoulder) and kicker Brandon Bogotay (groin).

Pinkston suffered a high-ankle sprain, but X-rays were negative and revealed no ligament damage, Rapoport reported Friday, per a source informed of the injury. Pinkston will undergo an MRI just to be sure. He likely will be out 2 to 4 weeks and miss the remainder of the preseason, per Rapoport.

Pinkston, who was rolled up on during a Trent Richardson run in the first quarter, hobbled out of the stadium in a walking boot and crutches, according to The Plain Dealer.

Pinkston had stepped into Cleveland's starting lineup for Shawn Lauvao, who's on the shelf for six weeks after having ankle surgery.
