Around the League's NFL Week 1 picks

And so it begins.

On the heels of an action-packed offseason, we're finally picking games again.

It all starts Wednesday in East Rutherford with a kickoff clash between two teams, the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys, that are notably sick of each other. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones -- a tad envious of Gotham's second Super Bowl title in five seasons -- acknowledged in a public flurry he wanted to beat the "Giants' ass."

Jones later admitted it's tough being "on the outside looking in" as Big Blue piles up Lombardis. This matchup has often decided the NFC East title, so there is no better place for the Cowboys to change recent history with a road win than New Jersey.

The "Around the League" boys will pick this and every game all season long. The writer with the worst record in any given week has to write the intro to the column. Although it looks like no one will be leading after Wednesday. We'll have the full slate of picks up on Friday morning.
