It's going to be a challenge for anyone on the Washington Redskins' roster to steal attention from Robert Griffin III, but rookie Alfred Morris is doing what he can.
The rookie running back carried the ball 14 times for 107 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 30-17 preseason victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

Drafted in the sixth round out of Florida Atlantic, Morris saw more action that Tim Hightower in the rookie's second start of the preseason. He broke tackles and found pathways to the edge, qualities that matter to Redskins coach Mike Shanahan.
Wearing Ryan Torain's old No. 46 jersey, Morris is Shanahan's latest find in the backfield. You might recall Shanny built a cottage industry unearthing one back after another with the Denver Broncos.
He hasn't been as lucky in Washington. The Redskins -- a headache for fantasy owners everywhere -- chronically lean on a stable of backs, splitting carries and starts from game to game.
We doubt anything has changed, but if Morris continues to produce against starting defenses, we finally might have a consistent starter in this backfield.
How about it, Coach? ... Probably too much to ask.
