Indianapolis' receiving depth: The Colts starters at wideout are set with Reggie Wayne and Anthony Gonzalez, but the third and fourth spots are less certain. Unproven second-year player Pierre Garcon and rookie Austin Collie are likely going to fill those roles, but they need as many preseason reps as they can get to build chemistry with Peyton Manning.

Detroit's defense: While the quarterback battle between No. 1 overall pick Matthew Stafford and veteran Daunte Culpepper has gotten all the attention, the Lions' defensive shortcomings are just as big a concern for new coach Jim Schwartz. The former Titans defensive coordinator was disappointed with the unit's effort last week in Cleveland.
