NFL Scouting Combine draws record number of viewers

The NFL Scouting Combine might have been closed to the public at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, but that didn't stop a record number of fans from watching the event via a variety of NFL Media platforms.

Over the four-day event, a record 7.25 million viewers tuned into NFL Network to watch the combine, an increase of 11 percent from last year, according to The Neilsen Company.

NFL Network set viewership records on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, three of the combine's four days.

In addition, football fans got their fix of the combine online. For the week of Feb. 20-26, unique visitors to NFL.com and NFL Mobile grew to more than 10 million, a 33 percent increase from the year prior. Users following the combine online and on their phones boosted live streams 89 percent, from 1.9 million to 3.6 million streams.
