- Despite losing Ian Cunningham to the Falcons, the Bears won’t receive compensation because Matt Ryan is considered Atlanta’s “primary football executive” under league rules, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported. If Cunningham had final say on football matters as Falcons general manager, Chicago would’ve received two third-round picks, per Pelissero.
