Bills to hire Leslie Frazier as defensive coordinator

Sean McDermott has found his defensive coordinator.

After spending a season as the Ravens secondary coach, Leslie Frazier is moving up north to Buffalo to become the Bills defensive coordinator, a source informed told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. The Bills confirmed the hire Friday.

Frazier has previously been the DC with the Bengals, Vikings and Buccaneers. He was the head coach for three seasons in Minnesota after he was the Vikings' interim for six games in 2010.

The Bills will be undergoing a defensive makeover, as the team fired Rex Ryan after a Week 16 loss and hired McDermott to be their new head coach Wednesday. Buffalo has talent on the defensive side of the ball, but the unit underachieved with Ryan at the helm.
