Chiefs fans have a right to whine about the franchise's star-crossed timing. One year ago, Kansas City at No. 1 would have had its pick of Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III. Instead, the Chiefs appear destined to select an offensive tackle. The Chiefs might also be in the market for another tackle post-draft if the disgruntled Branden Albert is shopped. On defense, coach Andy Reid shored up his paper-thin cornerback group by adding free agents Sean Smith and Dunta Robinson. The team still needs a more reliable free safety than Kendrick Lewis across from Eric Berry. At linebacker, the death of Jovan Belcher leaves this group with a need on the inside.

NEEDS ANALYSIS
New general manager David Caldwell comes to the Jaguars after working under Atlanta Falcons boss Thomas Dimitroff, who once declared, \"Until you find your quarterback, the search for him consumes you.\" Despite the Jaguars' public stance to the contrary, they can't be convinced that Blaine Gabbert is the answer at quarterback. Look for Caldwell to concentrate on defense in the middle rounds. Mock drafts have popularly sent a defensive end to Jacksonville in the first round, but that might actually be the deepest position on that side of the ball. After losing four veterans from last season's secondary, a higher priority should be finding a pair of cornerbacks and a safety.

NEEDS ANALYSIS
If GM Reggie McKenzie had his way, the Raiders would trade out of No. 3 in a hurry. That won't be easy. If they keep the pick, addressing departures on the defensive line is a must. Richard Seymour, Desmond Bryant and Tommy Kelly have been replaced by Vance Walker, Jason Hunter and Pat Sims. That's uninspiring business. The addition of Matt Flynn tempers the need at quarterback; still, look for the Raiders to grab a signal-caller. Up front, the Raiders have a solid left tackle in Jared Veldheer, but Khalif Barnes was a disaster on the right side. Flynn is a dead man unless that gets fixed. The Raiders are a train wreck on paper. Critics are descending on McKenzie, but don't forget he inherited a steaming mess. It's going to take time to dig Oakland out from under.

The third Mauti to play at Penn State, Michael is an extremely intuitive and instinctual player. He's far from a remarkable athlete, but he is coordinated in changing direction, and is fundamentally sound in taking on blocks and making tackles. Versatile enough to play multiple linebacker spots. Tough and physical, but his injury history is a major worry. His medical exams are going to be crucial to his draft stock.

At North Fort Meyers High School, Bohanon totaled over 1,500 yards and 18 touchdowns in his career. In his final three years at the school, he earned all-district, all-conference and all-area honors. Bohanon also lettered in baseball. He ultimately chose Wake Forest over Michigan State and Louisville.
In 2009, he became the first-ever true freshman fullback to play at Wake Forest under Jim Grobe. He was used primarily as a blocker, but had 16 carries for 51 yards and eight receptions for 66 yards. As long as Green Bay has Aaron Rodgers, a certain amount of success is guaranteed for the Packers, but the ancillary parts are lacking in several areas. The running game was a major sticking point last season, especially after Cedric Benson went down in Week 5. The defensive line boasts a lot of solid draft picks, but no real production. The clearly overrated B.J. Raji has been on the field for too many snaps during portions of his young career. He's decent, but he needs help and just isn't the force that, say, a Kyle Williams is. Regarding the linebacker position, the club is relying on the unproven Nick Perry at this point. It's possible the Packers might target a position besides OLB, but there's no question Clay Matthews could use some help.

After trading for Percy Harvin and signing a pair of pass rushers (Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett), the Seahawks appear to be a team without any major needs as they enter the draft. Head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider boast what is arguably the strongest top-to-bottom roster in the NFL. Otherwise adequate right tackle Breno Giacomini was abused by St. Louis Rams defensive end Chris Long in two meetings last season, and the Seahawks should target his eventual replacement in the second round. While the Seahawks have the best starting secondary in the league, they could use depth at both cornerback and safety in the later rounds.

This extremely lean edge defender needs to get bigger and stronger, but he flashes violent hands on the edge, covers a lot of ground off the edge, has one of the better first steps in the class and has shown good motor as a pass-rushing defensive end (7.5 sacks in 2011). Not to mention, he can handle short-area coverage responsibilities when asked to stand up as a linebacker. That sort of scheme versatility will be valued by NFL teams, but they need to get to find the cause of his poor senior season. His 2012 film suggests he’d be nothing more than a mid-round project, but his lethargic play and struggles disengaging could have been due to losing so much weight before the season started. A strong season could see his stock rebounding back into the second round.

Each year, a handful of redshirt sophomores declare for the draft. In recent seasons, the position to push the most players to the NFL in this category has been running back. This year is no different with Giovani Bernard and Rutgers' Jawan Jamison. The two year starter broke out early in 2012, but an ankle injury appeared to hobble him down the stretch. Although he could have returned as the starter, Jamison felt it was best to take his talents to the NFL after accounting for a large part of Rutgers' offense.
After redshirting in 2010, Jamison was a first year starter in 2011, accumulating 897 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on 231 carries. He added eight receptions for 62 yards. As a redshirt sophomore, Jamison added to his totals, rushing for 1,075 yards and four touchdowns on 255 carries. Williams seized his opportunity with a strong senior season that included 20 total touchdowns. While Powell is a defensive end now, his high school career certainly wouldn’t have given you any indication of that. As a senior, Powell led Seaside High School to a state championship victory as the starting quarterback and cornerback. Powell’s career started at DeAnza College. As a sophomore, he was first team all-state, first-team All-Golden Gate Conference and Golden Gate Conference Defensive Most Valuable Player. In his sophomore year, he had 69 tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, and five pass breakups.

At Terry Parker High School, Barrington was a three-star prospect at linebacker, but he also played running back, where he logged 1,188 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns on 108 carries as a senior. While playing all of the linebacker sports, he racked up 109 tackles, five sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and six pass breakups. Barrington picked USF over Miami, Purdue and Illinois, among others.
As a true freshman, he appeared in all 13 games and started one. He tallied 41 tackles (two for loss) with one pass defended. In 2010, Barrington played in all 13 games, and logged 11 starts.
