Teddy Bridgewater on PUP list, will speak Thursday

Not surprisingly, Teddy Bridgewater is starting training camp on the sideline.

The quarterback has been placed on the active/physically unable to perform (PUP) list, the team announced Wednesday. The move was expected as veterans reported to Vikings camp Wednesday, and as Bridgewater remains on his long road to returning from a torn ACL and dislocated knee suffered during camp prior to the 2016 season.

What was surprising, however, is the revelation that Bridgewater will speak to the media on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. local time (CT). It will be his first time addressing media members since suffering the gruesome injury.

Bridgewater was seen throwing without a knee brace in July, a step ahead of where he was in March, working in a bulky brace in a video posted on his Instagram account. The nature of his injury immediately put his future in question back in August of 2016, and while we're still far from a true return, the fact he's made it this far is rather remarkable.
