Seattle Seahawks activate Brandon Browner for wild-card game

The Seattle Seahawks activated Brandon Browner on Monday after the cornerback served a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substances policy.

The team placed cornerbacker Walter Thurmond on injured reserve to make room from Browner on the 53-man roster. Thurmond started initially in place of Browner, but suffered a hamstring injury before the Seahawks' Week 15 game against the Buffalo Bills and aggravated the injury last week trying to get back for the regular-season finale.

Browner will be back on the field Sunday when the Seahawks play on the road against the Washington Redskins on Wild Card Weekend.
