Raiders reward GM McKenzie with 4-year extension

Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie has been rewarded with a four-year contract extension, owner Mark Davis said Friday night, according to the team website.

Davis made the announcement at the team's annual "Alumni Weekend" in Napa Valley, Calif., where over 100 former players and staff had gathered.

McKenzie is now under contract through the 2021 NFL Draft, according to Davis.

"Reggie's contract was up at the end of the year, and we felt it was time to reward him for the job that he has done," Davis said.

McKenzie has been Oakland's GM since January 2012, responsible for drafting players such as quarterback Derek Carr, defensive end Khalil Mack and wide receiver Amari Cooper.
