Quick Take: Saints finally get road win

Garrett Hartley kicked a 35-yard field goal with 3:25 left, giving the Saints a 10-point lead. Cornerback Usama Young intercepted Tyler Thigpen's pass on the next drive to cement the win.

Saints running back Pierre Thomas filled in for injured starter Reggie Bush and responded with 88 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also had four receptions for 56 yards. Thomas' 1-yard TD run in the third quarter gave the Saints a 27-13 lead.

Key stat
The Chiefs stalled twice inside the Saints' 10-yard line, settling for field goals of 20 and 21 yards.

Noteworthy
The Saints haven't played in the Superdome since Oct. 12, and won their first road game of the season. ... Thigpen has at least two touchdown passes in three of his last four games.
