Panthers' Morgan out indefinitely

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- There's a new health problem for Carolina Panthers middle linebacker Dan Morgan.

Morgan revealed Monday for the first time that he has a partially torn Achilles' tendon and is out indefinitely. He was walking with a cast on his right foot. Like quarterback Jake Delhomme, he was injured in a win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 23.

Morgan says the tendon is not completely torn, meaning he'll return at some point this season. But Morgan, who's missed 41 of 100 games with numerous injuries and multiple concussions, acknowledged sitting out again is difficult.
