Help is on the way in Green Bay.
The Packers have activated wide receiver Christian Watson (knee; questionable) from the physically unable to perform list, clearing the way for his season debut Sunday night against the Steelers.
Watson is set for a return after recovering from the torn ACL he suffered in 2024's regular-season finale. The 26-year-old has served as Green Bay's play-making deep threat when healthy, averaging 16.9 yards per reception through his first three seasons.
Jordan Love will be glad to have Watson back ahead of his showdown with longtime Packers QB and former teammate Aaron Rodgers.
Love has so far posted career-highs in passer rating (108.1) and completion percentage (69.3) while boasting a 10-2 touchdown-to-interception ratio, but has done it all without much help from his wideouts.
Jayden Reed's broken collarbone in Week 2 disrupted Green Bay's passing game ahead of its only loss of the season the following game. Romeo Doubs had a three-TD outing in Dallas in Week 4 but hasn't returned to the end zone since. While first-round rookie Matthew Golden, who is questionable to play Sunday night with a hip injury, has shown flashes, he has yet to find a consistent rapport with Love.
Reed and Doubs are the only Packers wideouts to catch TDs from Love this season and no Packers WR has produced a 100-plus-yard game so far in 2025.
Love has maintained an efficient campaign by relying on tight end Tucker Kraft, who leads the team in receiving with 326 yards off 23 receptions (four TDs).
Perhaps Watson's presence will open things up for Love and Co.
The Packers (4-1-1) are scheduled to kickoff against the Steelers (4-2) at 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday night.
