'NFL Total Access' recap: Richard Sherman snubbed?

Did you miss Monday's edition of "NFL Total Access" on NFL Network? Catch up with this recap:

Who got snubbed from Top 10 of Top 100

Willie McGinest thinks Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman deserves to be in the Top 10 because he took the best receivers out of the game consistently this year. McGinest says Sherman can shut down a team's No. 1 receiver on any given Sunday. Warren Sapp says New Orleans QB Drew Brees should have been in the Top 10 despite the Saints' poor season.

Cousins checks in

Washington Redskins backup QB Kirk Cousins checked via the Redskins' team cam. Cousins said he needs to prepare as if he is the starter just in case Robert Griffin III ever goes down. Cousins added that Griffin looks great and should be ready to start Week 1.

49ers letdown?

McGinest says the San Francisco 49ers have to stay focused to avoid a post-Super Bowl letdown. McGinest says the 49ers are the most bitter team right now, having come up short in back-to-back seasons. He thinks it's Super Bowl or bust. Sapp seconded McGinest's points and thinks it's time for the 49ers to take the final step. McGinest says consistency should be San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick's biggest focus next season. Sapp says it's most important for Kaepernick to develop a relationship with tight end Vernon Davis. Sapp added that a tight end is the best safety valve for young quarterbacks, and Sapp thinks the 49ers are unstoppable when Davis gets going.

The most dominant pass rusher is ...

McGinest thinks that Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Demarcus Ware and Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen are two of the best pass rushers in the game. McGinest thinks that Allen has been consistently dominant without any help on the other side. On the other hand, Sapp thinks Ware is incredibly dominant.

Manti Te'o at Rookie Symposium

NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano sat down with San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te'o at the Rookie Symposium. Te'o said that the main message of the symposium was how to be a good person and how to take care of everything on and off the field. Te'o said a lot the speakers stressed the importance of remaining true to yourself and taking care of your family. He added that he's been trying his best to focus on football and fit with the rest of the Chargers defense.
