Michael Vick doesn't appear ready for Eagles return

The Philadelphia Eagles appear ready to begin another week of preparation without Michael Vick.

Eagles coach Chip Kelly told reporters Monday that Nick Foles will take first-team practice reps Tuesday.

Vick has missed the past two weeks with a strained hamstring. Foles has made the most of the opportunity, throwing a total of 10 touchdown passes and no interceptions in back-to-backEagles wins.

Foles is on fire, but Kelly said no final decision will be made on the quarterback depth chart for Sunday's matchup with the Washington Redskins until Vick is healthy.

"When that day comes, we'll have a discussion. But that day's not here," Kelly said. "My approach in terms of how we're doing things -- who's up, who's available. I've had guys go down on Friday, so why does it really matter who I say is the starter for the next Sunday's game?"

Foles' stellar production has entrenched him as The Man in Philadelphia. We're not certain what Kelly accomplishes by choosing not to acknowledge it.
