Matt Elam suspended one game for substance violation

Ravens safety Matt Elam was suspended Friday for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances and Abuse.

Elam, who is currently on injured reserve after tearing his biceps in August. He will lose one game check for this season as a result of the suspension.

Elam was the team's first-round pick in 2013 and started 26 games in his first two seasons with the team.
