Darren Sproles sits as the Philadelphia Eagles' undoubted MVP of their come-from-behind 2-0 start to the 2014 season. LeSean McCoy went so far as to say the Eagles "would be in some trouble" without the diminutive Sproles' play through two weeks.

It was Sproles' 49-yard touchdown run that sparked life in the offense in Week 1. On Monday, his pin-balling 19-yard TD scamper and 152 receiving yards catapulted the Eagles past the Indianapolis Colts in a 30-27 victory.
"To be honest, he's helping me out," McCoy said of Sproles, per the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I need to get my thing together. I feel like I'm not playing to my level that I should be playing it.
"Tonight, I had an average, above average game, where he came in and carried us again. It's good to have that, because when you get that type of attention from the defense, other guys are making plays. And he's doing it."
Reminder: The Eagles traded a measly fifth-round pick to the Saints for Sproles -- who was on the verge of being cut by New Orleans. That trade is already looking like highway robbery by Chip Kelly and company, especially when compared to the first-round pick Monday's opponent gave up for the rights to Trent Richardson.
Sproles' dynamic plays have masked Shady's surprising absence of big runs. Aside from his huge 21-yard run on third-and-15 Monday, McCoy has mostly been slowed through two weeks: 153 yards on 41 carries (3.73 yards per attempt).
"It says a lot about us not playing at an elite level and still winning these games," McCoy said. "When we're hitting on all cylinders, the sky's the limit for this team."
Nick Foles has struggled terribly through two weeks, receivers haven't made plays and McCoy has admittedly not been Shady-like. Still the Eagles are 2-0, thanks largely to Sproles.
