Julio Jones expected to undergo minor foot surgery

Julio Jones is going under the knife.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that the Falcons star receiver is expected to have foot surgery on Monday, per a source.

The procedure is a minor one for Jones and won't affect his training camp availability, Rapoport was told.

Still, it marks yet another foot-related operation for Jones, who spent the season playing through two ligament issues in his toe and a "mid-foot" ailment.

Jones previously suffered fractures in his right foot in 2011 and 2013. The second break wiped out his 2013 season, but the electrifying wideout has been unstoppable since, lighting up the league and operating for stretches as the most dangerous receiver in football.

While this latest surgery threatens to take away from his offseason work, there are no concerns about Jones missing real games come September. Along with serving as one of the greatest players around -- Jones is also one of the NFL's toughest.
