John Skelton signed by Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have signed quarterback John Skelton, the team announced Monday.

Skelton worked out for the Titans earlier in the season after spending time with the San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals.

The Titans needed quarterback depth behind starter Ryan Fitzpatrick after Jake Locker suffered a foot injury that will sideline him for the rest of the season.

Skelton was a fifth-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals, where he played until 2012.
