Jaguars QB Garrard just fine after missing one practice

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard returned to practice Friday, one day after sitting out with a strained back.

Garrard missed practice Thursday when a muscle in his middle back "didn't feel right" while warming up, he said.

The quarterback said his back "is definitely OK" now; he just wanted to be smart with it. He said he has received "a lot of treatment, and they've got it feeling brand new."

Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio said Garrard's strain is so insignificant, he usually doesn't put it on the team's injury report. But Del Rio said he put it on the report because "everybody wants to know about the quarterback. If the quarterback burps people want to know. He had a belch (Thursday)."

The Jaguars visit the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, and Garrard officially is listed as probable to play.
