Greatest CFB Plays: Bluegrass Miracle defeats Cannon's Run

Voting for the semifinal round of the Greatest CFB Plays tournament has concluded. The Bluegrass Miracle advanced to the final to take on Auburn's Kick Six.

Bluegrass Miracle: 78 percent
Cannon's Halloween Run: 22 percent

Cannon's Halloween Run (No. 2 seed, Knute Rockne region)

Date: Oct. 31, 1959
Summary: Billy Cannon's 79-yard punt return late in the fourth quarter gave top-ranked LSU a 7-3 win over No. 3-rated Ole Miss. Cannon would go on to win the Heisman Trophy in 1959.

Bluegrass Miracle (No. 5 seed, Bobby Bowden region)

Date: Nov. 9, 2002
Summary: On the game's final play, LSU QB Marcus Randall heaved the ball as far as he could from his own 18-yard line, but was far short of the end zone. However, the pass deflected off a Kentucky player and into the hands of LSU WR Devery Henderson, who scored the winning touchdown.
