Foles: My 'mindset' is that I'm the Eagles' starting QB

Entering the offseason, Nick Foles' grip on the Philadelphia Eagles' starting quarterback job has been questioned.

However, the 26-year-old told NFL Media's Michael Irvin on Thursday that he's still considered the starter.

"I'm still being introduced as that, but then you get asked different questions, the rumors and everything, so that is a part of it," Foles said on NFL Network. "But still getting introduced, and that's, in my mindset, that's where I'm at."

Foles said he doesn't worry about rumors and reiterated he plans on being in Philadelphia in 2015.

"It's always about the trade rumors -- that's always the hot topic," he said. "But that's one of those things where you just have to smile about. The only thing I listen to is what (coach) Chip (Kelly) decides, and that's all I care about."

"That's really what matters; your teammates believe in you to be the starting quarterback, to be the guy that's gonna lead 'em, and that's why I love playing there," Foles said. "We have a great group of guys. They believe in me, I believe in them, and I know that because of that, that's how you win games, that's how you win games in the fourth quarter is that belief that carries through. No matter what adversity you go through before, in that moment, you want to lean on the guys that you trust."

With Kelly saying he'll evaluate the position this offseason, whether or not Foles keeps that title of "Eagles starting quarterback" will be something to monitor as we press on towards the 2015 season.
