All 32 NFL teams sent at least one representative to Oklahoma's March 11 pro day. There were 10 offensive line coaches, three defensive line coaches, two tight end coaches and one wide receiver coach on hand for the event.
Sixteen players worked out at the pro day.
Defensive lineman Jordan Phillips (6-foot-5 3/8, 327 pounds) stood on his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. He had a good workout in the positional drills and is a very good athlete.
Wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham (6-5 1/4, 236) stood on his 40-yard dash time from the combine (4.49 seconds). He had a 33-inch vertical and a 10-foot broad jump. He completed the short shuttle in 4.36 seconds. Green-Beckham had a very good workout. He has good ball skills, and for a guy as tall as he is, he runs very good routes. He has a chance to be picked at the end of the first round or top of the second.
Cornerback Julian Wilson (6-2 1/8, 201) ran the 40 in 4.47 and 4.48 seconds. He had 15 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Wilson probably will be a seventh-round pick or priority free agent.
Offensive lineman Adam Shead (6-4, 331) participated at the combine. He ran a short shuttle of 5.00 seconds at the pro day and his arms measured 33 5/8 inches. He'll probably be a seventh-round pick or priority free agent.
Offensive lineman Daryl Williams (6-5 1/8, 325) stood on his combine results except for the three-cone drill, which he completed in 8.18 seconds. He has 34 7/8-inch arms. Williams had a very good workout. He's very strong, but he probably won't be a left tackle in the NFL.
Offensive lineman Tyrus Thompson (6-5, 324) stood on his vertical and broad jump numbers from the combine. He ran the 40 in 5.39 and 5.30 seconds. He also stood on his short-shuttle time from the combine. Thompson finished the three-cone drill in 7.96 seconds and has 34 7/8-inch arms.
Fullback Aaron Ripkowski (6-1 3/8, 238) was not invited to the combine. He ran the 40 in 4.71 and 4.69 seconds. He had a 33-inch vertical and a 9-5 broad jump. He completed the short shuttle in 4.33 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.59 seconds. Ripkowski was unable to bench press because he strained his shoulder two days prior to the pro day. He will be a priority free agent this year.
Defensive end Chuka Ndulue (6-1 3/4, 281), who also wasn't invited to the combine, ran the 40 in 5.15 and 5.23 seconds. He had a 28-inch vertical and an 8-11 broad jump. Ndulue finished the short shuttle in 4.55 seconds and recorded a time of 7.96 seconds in the three-cone drill. He performed 28 strength lifts.
Smitty, who's in charge of strength and conditioning at Oklahoma, takes a great deal of pride in running the pro day as well as anybody. Not only is it a well-organized event, but they also have a lot of food for consumption prior to the workouts and after the workouts. He did a first-class job.
