Dez Bryant officially downgraded to out vs. Giants

It's officially official: Dez Bryant is out for the Dallas Cowboys' matchup with the New York Giants.

The receiver was downgraded from doubtful to out on Saturday.

Bryant didn't travel with the Cowboys on Friday. He was listed as doubtful on the injury report with the minutest of minute chances that he might join the team Saturday. That did not happen.

The Cowboys had hoped to get the Pro Bowl receiver back after their bye, but Bryant will miss his fifth straight game after suffering a broken foot that required surgery in Week 1.

Matt Cassel will be throwing to Terrance Williams, Cole Beasley and Jason Witten, among others, Sunday afternoon.
