Da'Quan Bowers activated for Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers annouced Thursday that the team has activated defensive end Da'Quan Bowers from the physically unable to perform list.

Bowers had been sidelined with a torn Achilles tendon. He suffered in the injury in May.

Bowers, a 2011 first-round draft pick out of Clemson, should play in Thursday night's game against the Minnesota Vikings, the team said.

To make room for Bowers, the team released cornerback LeQuan Lewis.
