Boise State QB shows Steph Curry-type range with trick shot

Perhaps inspired by Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors -- who are on the brink of a second consecutive NBA championship -- Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien hit the football field to drain a long-range bucket of his own.

Boise State head coach Bryan Harsin posted the following video to Twitter, showing his sophomore quarterback connecting on a long-range throw into a basketball hoop.

While there is no indication of how many attempts it took to drain the trick-shot bucket, the feat really is quite amazing.

In short time, Rypien -- the nephew of former Washington Redskins quarterback and Super Bowl XXVI MVP Mark Rypien -- has emerged as one of college football's most promising passers. Rypien recently checked in at No. 15 in a College Football 24/7 countdown of the nation's most accurate passers.
