Bears' Brandon Marshall questionable vs. Packers

The Chicago Bears wide receiver did not participate in Friday's practice ahead of Sunday's NFC North showdown with the Green Bay Packers, the team announced. He looms as a potential game-time decision.

Marshall continues to nurse the ankle that he reinjured in Monday night's 27-19 win over the New York Jets. The ninth-year veteran left in the second quarter only to return and play the entire second half. Marshall never looked fully healthy, though, and it's fair to wonder if Chicago will ultimately choose to rest him at some point before a midseason run that -- after Sunday -- includes the Panthers, Falcons, Dolphins and Patriots before the team's Week 9 bye.

In a touch of good news for Chicago's air attack, Marshall's receiving mate, Alshon Jeffery, is ready to roll after being hampered the past two weeks with a hamstring injury. It's daunting to think what this passing game will accomplish when both wideouts are fully operational.
