AP source: Jets' Clinkscales leaving for Raiders

NEW YORK (AP) - A person familiar with the decision says Jets vice president of college scouting Joey Clinkscales is leaving New York to take a position with the Oakland Raiders.

Clinkscales has been with the Jets for 17 years, the last four in his current position, helping run their draft. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Wednesday because neither team had announced the move. It was uncertain what position Clinkscales will fill in Oakland.

ESPN first reported that Clinkscales would be leaving the Jets.

Clinkscales dismissed rumors after the draft a few weeks ago that he might join the Raiders, whose new general manager, Reggie McKenzie, is a longtime friend and former high school and college teammate. McKenzie is currently restructuring the Raiders' player personnel department.
